How Does “Restrict Virtual Folder” Work in Production Manager?

I’m trying to understand how the “Restrict virtual folder” option works in Production Manager.

• What exactly does it restrict?
• Does it limit access for certain users or groups?
• Are there any specific use cases or best practices for using this option?

I’d appreciate any explanations or documentation references.

  Hi Michał,

  You can set "Access restricted content" in the Roles and permission section, to allow certain users to access data in that folder. For instance, if you split your SW packages into framework content and test project content, you can place the framework content in a restricted folder to limit users that can edit these packages.

  The Client API will still be able to download packages from the "restricted folder".

  It basically limits access to that virtual folder based on user roles or permissions. We've used it to keep certain folder visible only to specific groups for stumble guys. Definitely useful for controlling access in larger teams.
