Deviation Waiver Request

It would be great to have a way to handle Deviation Requests and Waivers directly in WATS.

I would be able for the operator / supplier to initiate a deviation request both from the test report, BOM on a product (material substitution) and from a manual message interface.

Bonus point if the approved alternative would be attached to the products and be filterable (to compare performance through the whole workflow)

For the request the client / product owner should be able to define:

Deviation Types
Cause Code
Approval workflow

On the processing side we should be able to

Set if the request relates to Manufacturing Acceptance Criteria (MAC) or Design Acceptance Criteria (DAC). We should be able to define DAC approvers.
Set disposition (UAI, UAI Time Limited, Rework, Repair, Scrap)
Additional approvers if needed.
Conditions / Additional Comments

In the Unit Flow you should see if a failed test is pending deviation request processing.
For a Failed Test it could be flagged "Waived" instead of failed.

I would also like to suggest an option to set a production waiver for any test result, maybe as part of the Test Step Analysis workbench. Typically time limited change of MIN/MAX or temporary allow to skip the step. This would be initiated by f.ex. the Manufacturing Engineer and approved by Designer and or Quality.

I would love this feature. Sometimes we get UUTs that fail for known reasons, but can we waive them by Quality to make them passing units? We're losing consistency within WATS as these are considered "Passing" in the eyes of Quality.
