We would like to add custom logs for asset from UI. Currently this feature is available only as an API call {{baseUrl}}/api/Asset/Message?serialNumber=XXX.

This feature would help us to have a better overview of changes done on assets outside of calibration and maintenance.

  What type of logging to you envision for this feature? Is it as entries in the Asset log itself, or would it make more sense with a feature similar to comments in the System manager?

  Hi Andreas,

  both options would meet our need, but writing a new record to the log table is preferable. It would give us the full history, and the number of comments may also be quite high over the asset's lifetime.
