Every WATS user account must have its own unique e-mail address. This article explains how to find user accounts that share an e-mail address and how to give each user a unique address. It is intended for administrators who manage users in WATS.
Important
Support for user accounts sharing the same email address is being discontinued for security reasons. A future release will require every user account to have a unique email address. The duplicate email address will be removed from any account that has not been updated when the change takes effect.
Find user accounts that share an e-mail address
- Select Control Panel > Users & account > Users
- All user accounts in the organization are listed.
- Drag and drop the E-mail column header to group the list by e-mail address. Identical addresses are then placed next to each other.
- Note every e-mail address that appears on more than one account, and note which accounts use it.
Update the e-mail address on an account
- In Users, select the account that requires a new e-mail address.
- In the E-mail field, enter the new, unique e-mail address.
- Select Save. The account is now listed with the new address.
Remove an account that is no longer needed
Where a duplicate exists because the same person has two accounts, remove the account that is not in use rather than giving it a new address.
- In Users, select the account that is no longer in use.
- Select Delete user.
