Tag Manager

The Tag Manager provides a centralized and comprehensive solution for managing tags across multiple modules in WATS. It includes a set of default system tags and supports the creation of custom tags for tailored and flexible use.

Where to Access the Tag Manager

You can open the Tag Manager from the following locations:

1. Analytics:
   • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Module
2. Control Panel:
   • Production Manager
   • Asset Manager
   • Product Manager

How to Access

1. Navigate to one of the modules listed above.
2. Locate the Tag Manager button at the top of the interface.
3. Click the button to open the Tag Manager editor.

Creating Tags

1. Open the Tag Manager editor.

2. Click + Add to create a new tag.

3. Fill out the fields as described below:

   • Name: (Mandatory) Must be unique and cannot contain spaces.

   • Description: (Optional) Describes the tag’s purpose.

   • Allowed Values: (Optional) Defines dropdown values for the tag. Separate multiple values with semicolons ( ; ).

   • Value Required Option:

     • If Allowed Values are defined, select whether a predefined value must be used (mandatory) or can be left open (optional).

     • If no selection value is defined, the tag defaults to optional.

4. Click Done when finished editing the tag.

   • Tags are not saved until you click Save.

   • Note: Once created, the Name and Description fields cannot be edited.

5. Click Save to save all changes.

The Allowed values dropdown is now accessible exclusively in Production Manager > software package > tags. 

Updating Tags

1. Double-click the desired tag to enable editing.
   • Only the Allowed values and Option columns are editable for custom tags.
2. Modify the fields as needed.
3. Click Done to confirm.  
4. Click Save to apply changes.

Deleting Tags

1. Select the custom tag you want to delete.
2. Click the Delete button.
   • Note: System tags cannot be deleted.
3. Click Save to apply changes.
