Attach images to a UUT report

The "Attach Image" feature in MI, allows a single image to be attached to a test step by uploading an image file or using a webcam. An image could often provide extended support to the measured value, since all measurements are verified visually.

 

Prerequisites

1. Webcam Permissions: If using a webcam, grant browser permission for the site.
2. Step Setup: Ensure the test step has the "Image Attachment" property set to Optional or Required in Sequence Designer.
   

Uploading image while executing a manual inspection sequence

1. Upload an Image
   • Click "Upload Image" on the test step.
     
   • Choose to upload a file from your computer or capture a live image with your webcam by selecting one of the tabs shown below.
        
2. Capture via Webcam
   • Press "Capture" to take the photo.
   • Confirm the image in the preview window before attaching it (or discard if you want to start over).
3. Upload from Computer
   • Select a file to upload.
   • A progress bar will show the upload status.
4. View Attachments
   • All uploaded images are accessible in the Files tab for easy review.

 After the image is attached to the test step, and after the UUT report is submitted from MI, you can open the UUT report and view the attached image if needed.
