The Install option setting controls how software packages are deployed to WATS Clients. This setting works in conjunction with the Package Manager application on the client side.
Note: Remote configuration is supported on WATS Client version 7.1 or later.

Available options
| Use Package Manager settings | Uses the default settings configured in the Package Manager on the client. This is the default setting |
| None | The package will not trigger any automatic installation behavior. |
| Bring to front (pop-up) | The Package Manager application will pop up and become visible when the package is available to install. |
| At computer startup | The package will automatically install when the computer starts. |
| When ready | The package will automatically install as soon as it is ready, based on the Package check interval. |
By default, the Package Manager settings are used. If a different option is selected, it overrides the Package manager configuration in the WATS Client and System manager software Distribution.
Requirements
For the Install option to function, the Package Manager must be active on the target client. You can enable or configure the Package Manager from:
- The WATS Client application directly
- System Manager under the Software distribution tab

Permissions
Permissions for configuring and updating Software distribution package settings are managed under: Control Panel > Roles and permissions.
