The Unassociated part numbers tab under Product groups lists part numbers that are not included in any product group. The list is built from UUT reports only. A part number that exists only in UUR (repair) reports is never listed, even if it is not included in any product group. This article explains when that happens and how to add such a part number to a product group.
When a part number exists only in repair reports
A part number can exist in UUR reports without any matching UUT report in these situations:
- Repair reports were received, but the corresponding test reports were not, because of a synchronization or data issue. This includes Enterprise connection jobs that forward UUR reports only, or where the UUT reports have not arrived yet.
- An incorrect part number was entered during a repair workflow, so the part number exists in repair data only.
In both cases the part number is missing from Unassociated part numbers, and the repair reports are not included in product group based reporting until the part number is added to a product group.
Check whether the part number has UUT reports
- Open Analytics and select Test reports.
- Filter on the part number and a period that covers the repair reports.
- If no test reports are found, the part number exists in repair data only.
Add the part number as a product group filter
- Open the Control Panel and select Product groups.
- Select the product group that the part number should belong to.
- Select the add button and enter the part number. Enter "%" in Revision to include all revisions.
- Save the filter. The part number is now included in the product group.
If the part number was entered incorrectly during repair, correct the repair reports instead of adding the incorrect part number to a product group.
